[Pols-l] New Semester and Faculty Meetings

Hello,

I hope you are well. Welcome back for the Fall 2024 semester!  Things are administratively and literally (weather wise) heating up this semester.

We have two faculty meetings set for this semester. The first one is on Friday, September 20th and the second is Friday, November 8th. Both are at 11:00 am and will be in-person in the POLS conference room.

The first meeting will be split into three parts. First is an overview of the department and College key developments this year. Second is a discussion and update on Core 34 and College expectations and requirements for the department. Third is mandatory Tile IX training and someone from the College will come to discuss this for the last part of the meeting.

The second faculty meeting on November 8th will be on POLS program (undergraduate and graduate) evaluation and the expectations coming down from KBOR, the University and the College. We will review what we have regarding assessment plans, and what we need to meet current requirements.  Finally, we will discuss ways the department can manage the assessment plan/material.

I will send out a reminder a week before the meetings. Let me know if you have any questions.
