Good Afternoon Professor Haider-Markel,

Dr. Barbara W. Ballard asked me to send you the information on the Robert Hemenway Public Service Award.  This is a wonderful opportunity for a student who wants to be involved in Civic Engagement to branch out.   This award goes to a student leader, respected by peers, who is concerned with strengthening civic life at the University of Kansas.  Last year's recipient was Jessica Geiger, who worked with Dr. Ballard on KU Civic Engagement and Leadership, "Get Out the Vote" -  registering voters and participating in the 100th Anniversary of Women's Suffrage at the Dole Institute of Politics.
