Colleagues, with upcoming conferences and days off for the public schools I'm forced into scheduling a faculty meeting in a Tuesday at 4pm slot.

We'll meet at 4pm on March 17 in the conference room.

Agenda
--nominations for departmental committees for AY 2020-21
--updates on a potential visiting Assistant Professor accommodation

If there is a committee you'd like to be nominated for please let me or someone else know. We'll have at least 2 P&T cases, which is why we need to select committee assignments now.

The potential visiting Assistant Professor accommodation (Latin America, political behavior, representation) is up in the air, but I've discussed it with the Advisory Committee. If there is an attempt to turn this into a TT position the department would conduct an interview.

Any other agenda items will be shared at least 24 hours before the meeting.

Currently the threat posed by the coronavirus has not led to any KU cancellations or policy changes. As you may know some schools are cancelling travel and in-person courses. At least one POLS conference has now been cancelled. Any changes at KU will be announced by University administrators so you should look to them for updates rather than chairs and directors. I'd advise you to pursue your daily schedule and travel plans as you see fit.
