Subject: Ford Foundation Pre-Diss and Dissertation Fellowship Info Session for Faculty Advisors

Dear Chairs and Directors of Graduate Studies,

We are hosting an info session on the Ford Foundation Pre-Dissertation and Dissertation Fellowships on February 25th from 12-1pm at the Hall Center.

Nancy Cayton-Myers, Research Development Officer at IPSR and Kathy Porsch, Research Development Officer in the Hall Center's Research and Grant Development Office will provide information on the two fellowships, eligibility guidelines, application elements, and other info on the proposal process. Nancy will also discuss her experience working with graduate students on these particular fellowships including a recent application that made the fellowship shortlist. We hope this info session will provide faculty with helpful information to provide to their students who may be interested in applying.

We will provide light refreshments at the info session. Please feel free to forward this information to other faculty advisors who may be interested in attending. RSVPs are not required. A flyer with information regarding the session is attached.

We will also have a student focused info session on March 3rd at the Sabatini Multicultural Center - more information on that session will be released next week.
