[Pols-l] minutes and updates

Colleagues, for your reference I'm attaching the minutes from our last faculty meeting in April. That was the meeting where we decided membership on the committees for this year. Please note your assignments and let me know if there are any errors.

We do not have an upcoming faculty meeting as of yet but please reach out to me, Nazli, or John if you identify a potential recruit for the Langston Hughes Visiting Professor position.

In addition, I should be able to send letters soon about merit increases that will begin in mid-October.

Our departmental picnic is this Sunday at 4pm at Clinton Lake. See Linda for details and the sign-up sheet.

We also have a number of upcoming speakers that I hope you can make time for.
