Overview

As our world becomes more interconnected, we also gain more opportunities for diverse discussions and learning opportunities with people across the globe. In higher education institutions, however, it can be hard to know the best ways to take advantage of these opportunities for collaboration.

The Big 12 Teaching and Learning Conference will encourage participants to present and discuss effective teaching methods and frameworks that will address classroom and institutional-level interventions enhancing student learning, expanding our inclusive teaching practices, and refining assessment of student learning.

Categories of Interest

This year's Big 12 Teaching & Learning conference theme is "Advancing Student Learning & Retention." Consistent with this theme, we invite proposals focusing on:

  *   Institution and beyond interventions enhancing student learning
  *   Assessment of Student Learning
  *   Inclusive Teaching Practices
  *   Educational Research on Teaching & Student Learning (Research to Practice)

Proposals should clearly align to one of the conference tracks and be targeted to meet the professional development needs of college and/or university faculty, assessment coordinators, administration, staff, and students.

Proposals should fall into the format categories of oral presentation (standard or lightning sessions), workshop, or poster presentation.

Presentation proposals will be accepted beginning November 3, 2020 at 12:00am and until February 3, 2020 at 11:59pm. Notifications for accepted proposals will be sent in March.
