We are scheduling our pre-arranged interview of Rami Zeedan for 08 and 09 Nov. We are slotting the research talk for 4pm on 08 Nov and office visits across those 2 dates. If you prefer a lunch or dinner let me and Linda know so that I can help make arrangements.


Linda, I also need a location for the talk scheduled, perhaps in the Union or the library at 4pm on the 8th. We also need to be prepared to record the talk. I ask that you all try to attend the talk, even if it means interrupting your class.


Otherwise I'm asking Linda to set up some office visit time-slots. Please send her your preferred time-slot to meet with Rami.


Recall that we essentially have 50% of Rami's line this year and this interview will preclude a decision on making that tenure track appointment permanent through tenure. We are free to make a choice here since he could fit in several departments.


I am resending his vita for your information. Feel free to ask questions. My apologies for not setting this up sooner, I had understood that the Provost and Dean were doing this but learned last week that they were not. So let's make Rami comfortable while also making a considered decision in this case.
