We will no longer have the mailbox for the Shared Services Center up here in the office.  Most times you should be able to use e-mail or have me assist you. Some things are okay to send through campus mail as well.     They are making a final check of the boxes and then taking them away on Friday. -Linda

Dear CPS SSC Customers:

I am writing to inform you that the CPS SSC will no longer be offering the courier service that we have in the past.  As we continue to examine processes and procedures it is important that we also ensure the economic feasibility of those processes.  Our current student hourly who handled this route recently resigned, so we took this opportunity to examine this process.  What we found was the few departments were utilizing this and the amount of material that we collected vs the time it took to go across the campus to collect was no longer feasible.  With the increased use of MFD's and electronic file submission the need for this has decreased substantially.  In addition with the recent change in the deposit policy there was no longer a need for departmental deposits which was one of the mail reasons for this route in the beginning.  So given that information I have made the decision to not refill that position.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please know that campus mail is still available for any documents that you are unable to submit electronically.  To utilize Campus Mail please use the following address:

You can also work with your SSC contact and their manager if you would like to look at utilizing our CPS SSC Intershare Drive to save files and to help facilitate a more secure submission of any documents that have confidential information.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and I appreciate your understanding during this process.  We will make a final courier run on Thursday and Friday of this week and we will also remove any of the SSC Mailboxes that may be in your units.

Please share this information with others in your unit as needed.
