Dear Luciano, Don, Charlie:
As you may know, the International Relations Council is very active in engaging with universities and the community in the KC metro area.
Charlie, I don't know if Matthew, the ED reached out to you already about this, but I thought it would be really great if either of you could please forward this on to potentially interested undergrads in international programs, Global and International Studies, and Poli Sci and advertise this in newsletters, flyers around the departments/centers, etc. The deadline, of course, is looming: September 7th.
See Matthew's email below. You could write him directly with any questions.
Thanks so much for helping us get KU students to Washington DC!!
Best, Tamara

Hello, Tamara, and welcome back!
We've just received word that our national network organization, the World Affairs Councils of America, is once again making it possible for up to 25 undergraduate students from around the U.S. to attend cost-free the WACA national conference<https://www.wacaconference2018.org/> in Washington, D.C., from November 7-9. This does include transportation and accommodation. The conference is an excellent opportunity to meet and hear from diplomats, experts in international relations, and many other impressive individuals with global connections.
We are conducting a search for a Kansas City-area student to nominate. Relevant information is available in this flyer: http://www.irckc.org/resource/resmgr/docs/2018_waca_conference_undergr.pdf
Could you please share with undergraduate students who would be interested? We ask that you highlight the application deadline of Friday, September 7. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Many thanks,
Matthew
