Dear colleagues,

The January 2018 issue of the open access journal methods, data, analyses (mda) is now available athttp://mda.gesis.org/index.php/mda.

This is a special issue on "Comparative Survey Analysis – Comparability and Equivalence of Measures" edited by Bart Meuleman, Eldad Davidov, and Daniel Seddig.

The mda is an international open access peer-reviewed journal without publication charge publishing research articles, research notes, and field reports on survey methodological and survey statistical topics. The journal publishes two issues a year and new contributions will be published Online First soon after acceptance. We aim to give scholars a visible outlet for their research that is accessible to survey practitioners and data analysts worldwide. For this purpose, the mda is working towards a listing in the Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) and, in this process, has been recently selected for coverage in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI).

We hope that you will enjoy our current issue!

Kind regards,
Annelies Blom, Editor-in-Chief
