Arts Research Grants Project

These awards provide financial support for original, independent creative and scholarly research by students in the School of the Arts. The application deadline is Friday, November 17, 2017 at 5:00 pm.

The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences recently announced new funding opportunities for faculty through the Research Excellence Fund.  Be sure to check out the following funds that could relate to undergraduate research:

        *   For many of the funds (CR1/CR2/DSR/TSU/FIG/HTT), extra money is available for undergraduate student involvement.
        *   Course Release Fund (COR): provides faculty with a course release to work on different types of projects, including course redesign.  This fund could be used to support faculty who are working on developing research-intensive courses or incorporating research into their undergraduate curriculum.
        *   Dean's Award for Exceptional Student Mentoring (ESM): provides a course release and $1,000 to faculty with a demonstrated record of exemplary student research mentoring.
        *   WP4KU: provides $1,000 for undergraduate women in STEM to attend academic conferences.
