Subject: CPS SSC Finance Assignment Change - ANTH, SOC, POLS support

Good morning.

As you may be aware, Carol Archinal has been offered an opportunity to utilize her multiple years of experience and knowledge in support of the School of Pharmacy.  While we are excited for Carol to have this opportunity, her absence will be felt in the SSC and by those units she currently supports.  Carol's last day in the CPS SSC will be on Friday, August 18th.  We wish Carol the best in her new role at KU.

We have identified Deb Deering (deering at ku.edu<mailto:deering at ku.edu> 864-9032), a current staff member in the CPS SSC, to take on the SSC Finance support role for Anthropology, Sociology, and Political Science.  Carol is working with Deb this week to acclimate her to your units and assist with transitioning Deb into this role.  Beginning Monday, August 21, please contact Deb Deering for all of your SSC finance support.

NOTE:   For those of you that work with Jessica Chilcoat, Financial Analyst, that role is not changing.

Additionally, as I prepare to go on maternity leave, we've taken this opportunity to make a shift in SSC management for your units.  You all have been wonderful partners, and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with you over the past 4 years in the SSC.  Effective Monday, August 21, Joel Hood (joelhood at ku.edu<mailto:joelhood at ku.edu> 864-6857) will be the SSC Finance Manager supporting your areas.  I will work with him to transition into this role, and to understand the system approvals and other services that I provide for your units.

Please feel free to share this notice with your other faculty, staff, and students that may be impacted by these changes, as you deem appropriate.  Thank you for your support during this transition.  Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
