Colleagues, some unexpected good news!

We have been authorized to try and recruit Chris Clark (UNC) as a bridge hire (he was here in March).

If I recall correctly we never took an official vote on Clark, even though there seemed to by wide agreement to pursue him if authorized.

So I'd like to pursue this case, but I want to make sure we are all on the same page.

Regardless of your agreement with pursuing Clark or not, if you prefer to have a faculty meeting to discuss this please let me know before August 23.

If I don't receive any requests for a faculty meeting I will fully pursue recruitment after 8/23.
