<div style="margin:0px"> Wow, 2020 has felt like a whole decade. Many of our faculty and students have spent the year at least partly away from campus, but we have found new ways to teach our courses and engage with students. Although enrollment was slightly
down at KU, enrollment in political science courses and our number of majors has remained at levels not seen since the early 2000s.</div>
<div style="margin:0px"> With the divisive election over, we can all turn to reconnecting with our neighbors and work towards building a more civil society, regardless of partisan or ideological differences. National elections suck up a lot of oxygen and
we all must focus more on what is happening in our communities, including local and state governments. The pandemic and police violence have highlighted inequities in our society and hopefully reinforced our resolve to address these issues.</div>
