<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">As some of you may know, I’ve worked over the past year to raise funds to set up a <a href="https://sites.google.com/view/jackzhang/twl">Trade War Lab</a> here at KU. Since the U.S.-China trade war touches on international
relations (IPE, security etc), American politics (Congress, lobbying etc), and comparative politics (China), I thought a speaker series might be of interest to faculty from across the department and around campus. I also see it as a professionalization and
networking opportunity for our graduate students. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

presenting on "Foreign Lobbying Through Domestic Subsidiaries.” <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">One of the silver linings of the pandemic is that speakers are much easier to schedule and cost nothing. But I do hope that, if the speaker series is successful in this soft launch, I can raise funds here on campus
and through external grants to bring 1-2 live speakers per semester to KU when the covid (eventually) gets under control. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
