<div class="" style="color:rgb(0,0,0)">As some of you may know, I’ve worked over the past year to raise funds to set up a <a href="https://sites.google.com/view/jackzhang/twl" class="" style="">Trade War Lab</a> here at KU. Since the U.S.-China trade war touches
on international relations (IPE, security etc), American politics (Congress, lobbying etc), and comparative politics (China), I thought a speaker series might be of interest to faculty from across the department and around campus. I also see it as a professionalization
and networking opportunity for our graduate students. </div>

<b>Friday, November 6, 2020 @11:30am-12:30pm</b> CDT. Our first speaker is <b>Professor Jieun Lee,
</b>who is a Michigan PhD just starting at UB, presenting on "Foreign Lobbying Through Domestic Subsidiaries.<b><i>”</i> </b></div>

<div class="" style="color:rgb(0,0,0)">One of the silver linings of the pandemic is that speakers are much easier to schedule and cost nothing. But I do hope that, if the speaker series is successful in this soft launch, I can raise funds here on campus and
through external grants to bring 1-2 live speakers per semester to KU when the covid (eventually) gets under control. </div>
