Dr. Lina Benabdallah is the keynote speaker for this year's MAAAS( Mid American Alliance for African Studies) Conference that will take place on Friday and Saturday September 13-14 in the Kansas Room at the Union. Dr. Benabdallah is an Assistant Professor of
Politics and International Affairs at Wake Forest University. Her research focuses on international relations theory, foreign policy, critical theories of power, and rising powers. Her forthcoming book is <i>Shaping the Future of Power: Knowledge Production
and Network-Building in China-Africa Relations</i> (University of Michigan Press 2020).</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt">
