We thought we'd share a bit about the
Kansas Model United Nations club!

News from the Hawk Model United Nations Conference

Six schools attended KU's fourth Hawk Model United Nations Conference. Hawk MUN experienced a delegate increase of 30% from last year, and plans on continuing the event to boost its impact in the coming years.

KU MUN meets every Monday and Wednesday from 6-7:30 in Wescoe 4018. You can follow their Instagram, @kansas_mun.

"During our (Kansas Model UN) meetings, we’ve done the following crisis sim sessions:

- “Foundation of the Galactic Republic, 3947"

- “A Normal Day in the Office, 2024”

-  “Titans of Industry: The Corporate Struggle for Power in the Gilded Age, 1895”

We’re currently working on a GA entitled “The United Nations Security Council: Governing AI and Quantum Technologies in International Espionage”. ...

Looking forward, we are preparing for MinnMUN and ChoMUN which will take place at the University of Minnesota and The University of Chicago, respectively.

We’re always looking to welcome new members regardless of how much experience they may have. We love getting to teach new members about MUN, and have a dedicated exec board focused on growing the club, and helping members learn and grow! "    -Maddie Steele
