Subject: Blake Hall AED
Good afternoon,
Yesterday evening, the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) was discovered missing from its cabinet in the first floor hallway of Blake Hall, outside of room 108. It is a Philips Heartstart OnSite AED, serial number A16I-09018; the device itself is blue but it is stored in a red fabric case. The timeframe that it went missing is unknown. A police report has been filed in case it has been stolen. I am requesting that you please forward this information to your entire department. If anyone has any information about when they last saw it or used it, please contact myself or the KU Office of Public Safety at 785-864-5900 (attn.: Ofr. Jason Felbush).
Until the AED can be replaced there will be no AED available in Blake Hall. If an AED is needed for a cardiac arrest emergency in Blake, the next closest AEDs are in Twenty Hall (first floor lounge near the main door) and Fraser Hall (first floor hallway near room 122).
