Subject: Facilities Services Alert: Annual Steam Outage 5/16-5/21


Notice:

In order to perform critical yearly maintenance on boilers, valves, air, steam and feed systems, Facilities Services will be shutting down the steam on Main Campus Sunday May 16 at approximately 6:00 p.m.



During this shut down building occupants throughout most Main Campus buildings can expect:

1.       Loss of hot water

2.       Possibly cooler building temperatures

3.       Loss of steam in Autoclaves, Cage Washers, and any other direct steam equipment. (primarily in Malott and Haworth)



Facilities Services will work to restore steam on campus Friday May 21. The boilers will be fired at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Friday May 21.  Steam and hot water service should be available by that evening.
