Dear faculty, staff, and graduate students of the Department of Political Science,



I appreciated the chance to visit your department meeting on Tuesday. The selection of a new chair is a pivotal event for a department, and I am looking forward to working with you on this process.



I am writing to solicit any opinions you may wish to share regarding the qualities that you believe the Dean’s Office should look for in the next department chair, or regarding any other aspect of the chair-selection process.
