Hello Linda!

I’m emailing with an update with the hope that it could be passed along to the department. In addition to my talk, the Kansas City R User Group has recruited a second KU Alum for the meeting this Saturday at 1. Ms. Nanyi Deng, who is now pursuing her MSI at Columbia, will be presenting on a paper she collaborated on, entitled "Applying Statistical Machine Learning Methods to Analysis Differences in the Severity Level of COVID-19 among Countries". This should be a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about how machine learning techniques can be applied to answer a research question, with a special focus on questions related to comparative health.
