Subject: Great Plains Research special issue on rural politics
Hi Don,
I hope all is well in Lawrence.
We have had a couple people recently fallout of a rural politics issue of Great Plains Research due to covid-related career impacts. Do you, or any of the graduate students - to give them a chance, have any paper ideas that might fit with this issue? We currently have abstracts on gun ownership, social distancing and social capital in rural areas, a comparative piece on political culture and health policy in Saskatchewan and Nebraska, and on influence of perceptions of community change and experience with diversity on policy attitudes in Nebraska.
We had wanted abstracts by the end of this month, but there is some flexibility there, and will request the manuscripts to send out to reviewers in January. The issue is scheduled for publication in Fall 2021. I would appreciate any ideas you may have, or if you would pass this on to those who may be interested.
Take care and thank you.
Brian
