Professor Eve Levin (Department of History) will deliver a CREES brownbag presentation "Living History: Memoir of a Cold War Survivor." Please join us for this wonderful opportunity as Professor Eve Levin, who will be retiring in June 2020, reflects on her life and academic career. Professor Levin focuses on the intersection of religion and popular culture in pre-modern Russia and the Balkans. Her current research project explores conceptions of illness in Russia, 15th-early 18th century, from the perspectives of patients, of care-givers-folk healers, faith healers, and Western doctors-and of the institutions of the State and the Church that regulated them.
