Good afternoon!

Next Thursday, March 7 at 7 p.m., the Dole Institute of Politics will launch "Political Page-Turners," a three-part series of book talks with acclaimed authors. These talks are co-sponsored by the Lawrence Public Library and KPR.

The first installment of this series will welcome author Mark Weinberg, who will discuss his memoir, "Movie Nights with the Reagans." In his book, Weinberg shares an intimate look inside the Reagan presidency - told through the movies they watched together every week at Camp David. Weinberg is a former speechwriter and adviser to Reagan, serving on the 1980 campaign traveling staff, eight years in the White House and two years thereafter as Reagan's post-presidential spokesman. Other guests taking part in the series are Ira Shapiro (March 19) and Major Garrett (April 2).

This event is free and open to the public with no ticket required. It will be held at the Dole Institute of Politics in KU's West District. Free parking is available to all guests.
