KUWC Core Writing Fellows Program

During the past three semesters, the Writing Center has placed undergraduate Writing Fellows (course-specific writing tutors) into KU Core courses. This fall, Fellows have been assigned to: AAAS 305, BIOL 599, HIST 568, GEOL 121, HIST 568, MGMT 405, and SOC 312.

We plan to continue the program in Spring 2017. Attached is an info sheet; the application link can be found at https://writing.ku.edu/writing-fellows-0. Our goal is to assign Fellows to 12 courses in Spring 2017.

Online Learning Brown Bag - Nov 3

On November 3, Jamie Basham, Mary Morningstar and Monica Simonsen will highlight some of the tools and strategies the online courses are using to engage students and meet student learning outcomes (see attached PDF).  This is a great opportunity to think about how all of our online courses can be enhanced.  Bring a bag lunch and your questions/ideas!
