Policy Agendas Project Releasing Data Updates
The Policy Agendas Project (www.comparativeagendas.net/us<http://policyagendas.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=a34b8543d52fbaaec3da9acde&id=607ed2de4a&e=ddf97c0a07>), directed by Bryan D. Jones at the University of Texas at Austin, announces updates to project datasets.
Since the release of the Comparative Agendas Project website in March of 2016, the U.S. Policy Agendas Project has sought to update its datasets to current to most available primary source material.
Project datasets have been updated with observations from the following years:
* Congressional Hearings (1946-2014)
* Most Important Problem (1946-2015)
* CQ Almanac (1948-2011)
* Public Laws (1948-2014)
* New York Times (1946-2014)
* Roll Call (1947-2013)
* Executive Orders (1945-2015)
* Policy Moods (1940-2015)
* Budget Outlays (1791-2015) by Christopher Faricy
* New York Times Front Page (1996-2006) by Amber Boydstun
Additionally, we have added four new datasets: the Democratic and Republican Party Platforms, Public Law Titles and Tax Expenditures. These data advance our understanding of the policy process.
Future updates to the Supreme Court, CQ Almanac, and Budget datasets are expected Summer 2017.
Additionally, the Danish Agendas Project has also update its datasets. See their page (www.comparativeagendas.net/dk<http://policyagendas.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=a34b8543d52fbaaec3da9acde&id=1a6d4543ef&e=ddf97c0a07>) for more information.
