You may remember that the owners of Hillcrest Shopping Center

did not recommend the zoning change, and the developers did not
pursue it.

Sunset Hill NA will be opposing this text amendment at both the
Planning and City Commission meetings. Large commercial buildings
such as this one belong on arterial streets, with appropriate
buffer to adjacent residential neighborhoods. This amendment would
not affect just one parcel like a zoning change would, but would
allow construction of similar facilities in these two district
types city-wide. Your neighborhood will be affected if you have
one or more CN2 or RMO zones within your boundaries. By my count,
7 neighborhoods contain CN2 zones. Please contact me if you would
like to join me in resisting this unnecessary and detrimental
change. I have attached my initial letter to the City Commission.
