During our recent Zoom meetings about CDBG funds, lack of
neighborhood support from Planning, etc. there was much
discussion (as always) about all the neighborhoods that don't
have associations.
<div>This means they don't have a mechanism to strengthen their
hoods by building community & to request funding for
projects.</div>
<div>With the most cursory Google search I found many "How to
create a Neighborhood Association" links that could easily be
be customized to Lawrence.</div>
<div>Wouldn't it be awesome if LAN created an online kit to help
other hoods organize? Plus, organized neighborhoods could
volunteer to mentor a new association early in their process.</div>
<div>Typically a neighborhood group is formed around a big
contraversial issue but it doesn't always have to be born in
conflict.</div>
<div>What does everyone think?</div>
