Hi Ellen (and LAN listserve),<br>
I have been doing some research, and I think I know why this is
happening. At the bottom of the <a moz-do-not-send="true"
href="https://nam01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Flawrenceneighborhoods.wordpress.com%2F&data=02%7C01%7Celectronic-lan%40lists.ku.edu%7Cb7e2538b7929409811d408d6d4fc45cf%7C3c176536afe643f5b96636feabbe3c1a%7C0%7C0%7C636930577296690714&sdata=OlJCVf5h4v97v9UYl84C2ASMoUX7XSHUf17kb8waEO8%3D&reserved=0" originalSrc="https://lawrenceneighborhoods.wordpress.com/" shash="JGNYq4y6sdzOUMQj6I1oNDDDvJ0OjCWbN7sguoTPUy7vURozYLSbraZC8eqRfvPOGcUUbqWK3lO0horqBKQwZRMwic2DtjefULfd6wQpDppsAVN/oHcpywdn10jP/PUWiTiQ2O4t8PVg4/QW0pKqzSGO9SbXOLlgFCdwBQAzmm4=">home page of
the web site</a>, there is a space called "Leave a reply". If you
click in this blank, you can leave a comment. Also when you click on
this box, two check boxes appear below it that allow you to receive
emails when new comments are posted, or when new posts are created.
At some time in the past you may have checked one or both of of
these check boxes. I think if you click on the "Leave a reply" box
and uncheck these check boxes, you should no longer receive email
notices. I don't know of any way I can remove you from this
function from this end.<br>
I'm really sorry this happened to you. I thought about disabling
the comment box (it was there when I took over the web site two
years ago, no one uses it), but then you might not be able to turn
off the email notifications you are receiving. Please try turning
off these email notices and let me know what happens. If you are
unable to turn of the notices, let me know and I'll keep trying. <br>
I copied the listserve just in case anyone else has this issue.
Once we get this straightened out, I'll look into removing the
comment function.<br>
Best,<br>
Gary Webber<br>

Am I specially chosen, or is everyone’s mailbox filling up with
past LAN minutes? I don’t remember who is the current contact but
knew you probably would know the answer. Thanks, Ellen<br>
