<html><head></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; ">We on Chalk Hill Court established a Neighborhood Watch program out of frustration with an abandoned house that had been neglected by its owner for almost fifteen years. After we set up our program, we wrote a letter to the City Commission that almost all of signed, and within months, the matter was resolved. An empty house is an invitation for criminal activity, and we now have a fully renovated home with a responsible resident. That, to me, is worth every bit of sweat equity we put into walking up to each home in August heat to obtain the necessary signatures.
