Please plan to join us to discuss conceal and carry gun topics
at a time when specific questions have arisen in Lawrence. A KU
group, Faculty for a Safer Campus, has been working for more
than a year on many questions and limitations related to
carrying concealed guns on campus. Several members of this
group, including Elizabeth Esch of American Studies and John
Edgar Tidwell of the English Department have agreed to speak
with us at our next Hot Topic: "Conceal and Carry: A Faculty
Perspective." They have discussed details concerning people and
places affected by the proposed law. In addition, their work
deflates some of the misunderstandings many people hold
regarding gun possession and use. As a community uniting
university and city residents, Lawrence benefits by
communicating with KU.
There is parking at the Vermont entrance, and the building is
accessible. Please come and bring friends.
