The Douglas County Food Policy Council<<a href="https://www.douglascountyks.org/fpc/welcome" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.<wbr>douglascountyks.org/fpc/<wbr>welcome</a>> need the input of local residents!<br>
<br>
The city-county advisory board has launched a Food Systems Survey to inform the creation of a county-wide food plan to present to City and County Commissioners for adoption.<br>
<br>
Please share this link and email/information with your various neighborhood networks to make sure the experiences and ideas of folks across the city are heard.<br>
<br>
The survey will remain open until October 9. If you would like paper copies of the survey or a follow-up conversation or presentation, please let me know.<br>

The survey will ask about the local shopping, eating, and cooking experiences of local residents. It also offers respondents the chance to share their thoughts on identified food system issues, including access to healthy food, agricultural land preservation, economic development, and urban agriculture.<br>

The results of the survey, other research, and community priorities will be shared and discussed at five community meetings in November.<br>

  *   Thursday, November 10, 6:00pm to 7:30pm: Lecompton Community Building, Lecompton<br>
  *   Saturday, November 12, 10:00am to 11:00am: Union Pacific Depot, Lawrence<br>
  *   Monday, November 14, 6:00pm to 7:30pm: Douglas Co. Fairgrounds, Meeting Hall, Lawrence<br>
  *   Tuesday, November 15, 6:30pm to 8:00pm: Community Center, Eudora<br>
  *   Wednesday, November 16, 6:00pm to 7:30pm: Lumberyard Arts, Baldwin City<br>
