[Electronic-LAN] Bobby Evans, KC Bikeway Planner, to speak at Sustainability Action annual meeting

Hi everybody:
The Sustainability Action Network is inviting you to our annual meeting 
with keynote speaker, Bobby Evans, KC Bicycle Transportation Planner.  
It will be on Friday, 10 May, 6:00pm pot luck dinner, 7:00pm talk by Mr. 
Evans, followed by Q & A.  The event will take place at Pioneer Ridge, 
downstairs theater room, 1000 Wakarusa Dr.

Several L-A-N reps and myself have been working on strengthening 
Lawrence sidewalk and bikeway policies for a decade or more, and we're 
beginning to see some progress.  As Lawrence commits to more 
all-ages-and-abilities bikeways, such as Massachusetts St. and 9th St.- 
Illinois to Vermont St., examples from Kansas City Missouri can help 
inform our choices for design.

Mr. Evans got his Bachelor's degree from K.U., and a Masters of Urban 
Planning from the University of New Orleans.  Before his employment with 
Kansas City MO, he worked as a transportation planner in both New 
Orleans and Honolulu.

We hope you can attend, where we anticipate a lively round table 
discussion about emerging bikeway options for Lawrence.
