Application period re-opened for 2021 CDBG Public Service applications

The City of Lawrence, through the Community Development Division of the Planning and Development Services Department, invites non-profit and for-profit organizations to submit applications<https://lawrenceks.us13.list-manage.com/track/click?u=7ca5a42664e87643b2b54d343&id=a39c437182&e=c5d7f2c244> for projects to be funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) as part of the 2021 Annual Action Plan. Funds are awarded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to meet a National Objective as established by Congress and must be used for an eligible activity for the program.

This is a second opportunity to submit applications in the CDBG Public Services category. Applicants who submitted an application during the previous application period that ended February 5, 2021 do not need to re-apply.

The 2021 Annual Action Plan will include projects to be undertaken during the program year beginning August 1, 2021 through July 31, 2022. Projects and programs undertaken must address a priority need set forth in the 2018-2022 Consolidated Plan.

The City will accept applications for funding beginning March 17, 2021 through 5 p.m. on March 24, 2021. No applications will be accepted after March 24, 2021.
