Dear LAN listserve members,
Please promote this survey to your neighbors (and take it yourselves!)
The KU report is fascinating, and worth a read; they did an
excellentjob! The survey closes next Friday.

Gary,
I am following up with information on the next community input
opportunity for Lawrence Transit bus route redesign. We hope that you
might encourage neighborhood residents to take Survey #2 at
https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.lawrenceks.org%2Flistens%2Fsurveys&data=04%7C01%7Celectronic-lan%40lists.ku.edu%7Ca86951874d664ea247b308d8b5ac7931%7C3c176536afe643f5b96636feabbe3c1a%7C0%7C0%7C637459099655645187%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=%2FMaHAyXGYt%2BP%2B4LKtGem0dusSU6qWDjiwPZFhRXg%2BIk%3D&reserved=0

that closes at 11:59pm on Friday 1/15/21.
In Fall 2020, Lawrence Transit began work on the first of two route
redesign studies. These studies will help inform the development of a
new multimodal transfer facility for buses, planned to open in 2022. 631
people responded to a survey in September 2020 that gathered information
about transportation patterns and the use of transit by people in
Lawrence. Then, a KU Urban Planning class provided a literature review
and data analysis before proposing three route redesign scenarios to
generate public discussion on different bus route concepts for Lawrence.
Please see lawrencetransit.org/transfer-facility

the full analysis and report.
We would like to hear your thoughts on what you do and do not like about
the three proposed scenarios. Responses to this survey will inform a
consultant-led route redesign study in 2021, which will ultimately
determine what the future of Lawrence bus routes looks like. A key
purpose to this survey is to explore new concepts and determine which
may have merit for further consideration and study by the consultant
this spring.
I am happy to answer any questions you might have and would like to
emphasize that we want to hear from people who do and do not ride the
bus, as we hope our future routes are beneficial to existing and new
users of transit.
Best,
