The pandemic has exacerbated feelings of isolation and loneliness,
especially amongst our seniors. The Community Wellbeing Branch of the
Unified Command is organizing the *Neighbor to Neighbor* campaign to
mobilize our neighbors and neighborhoods around helping seniors by reaching
out in informal, simple ways.
Things you can do:
Bring them their mail or newspaper
Shovel their walk
Drop a note in their mailbox
Wave and smile when you pass
Share some home cooking
Bring a cup of coffee or tea over
Bring a treat from the grocery store
Help them fill out the online vaccine form
Deliver a DGKS yard sign
Small ways of reaching out can have a big impact. Checking in on each other
is a simple thing we can all do to help vulnerable folks in our community
stay connected & healthy, and reminded we are all in this together!
