Good morning,

As a recruiting assistant with the U.S. Census Bureau, I am responsible for
working with groups like yours to help spread the word and get the
community informed about our employment opportunities with the 2020 Census.




As you know, the census count determines the number of seats Kansas has in
the House of Representatives, as well as the federal funding allocated to
support local infrastructure and programs, like highways, hospitals and
schools.  We want to ensure an accurate and complete count of the
population in 2020. However, we can only make it happen with the support
and assistance from leaders in each community.


We have to ensure sufficient staffing of our operations. We are bringing
jobs (well-paid, part-time/full-time, entry-level/supervisory) to your area
nd need the support of the community leaders, to help potential candidates
learn about our job opportunities. One of our recruiting goals is to reach
out to those people who are not actively looking for jobs right now but
might get interested if presented with the opportunity.  In Douglas County,
the hourly rate for Census Takers is $13.50 an hour and $15.00 for Census
Field Supervisors.


We need more applicants in Douglas County for our Early Operations.  I have
attached a description of the job.  I can send also send social media
messages to members to post in nextdoor.  If you have any questions, please
call me.
