Sustainability Action Network organized a large electric vehicle (EV) 
showcase last September, and this year the National Drive Electric 
sponsors have created a new event - the *Drive Electric Earth Day*.  Our 
parade will be part of the traditional Lawrence Earth Day Parade, that 
includes a wide range of themes having to do with a sustainable Earth.  
All parade participants will assemble at 10:30am, and at 11:00am the 
parade will move slowly up Massachusetts St. to South Park, where the 
Earth Day celebration takes place until 4:00pm.

The EVs will park on the north edge of the park in the parking lot to 
the south of the Court House. *If you have an EV, join the parade by

at Earth Day and want to see a variety of EVs, come to the Court House 
parking lot, talk with the owners, and learn the many advantages of 
driving an EV, including: no tailpipe emissions, zero emissions if 
charged by solar collectors, very inexpensive electric fuel, minimal 
maintenance cost (no ICE engine, transmission, distributor, starter, 
clutch, muffler, or catalytic converter), and operate smoothly and quietly.
