*BICYCLE BOULEVARD SURVEY ABOUT "POP UP" DEMONSTRATIONS*

If you're interested in having more comfortable and convenient bikeways in
Lawrence, you are invited to take *two surveys about bicycle
boulevards on **13th
St. from Haskell to Massachusetts, and 21st St. from Massachusetts to Iowa*.
Bicycle boulevards are streets designed to provide a comfortable experience
for cyclists of all ages and abilities, by creating a low-speed and
low-volume roadway where cyclists share the street with motor vehicles.
The surveys are *available until Friday, 5 April at **Lawrence Listens* -

To help people get a feel for bicycle boulevards, On March 21, the City of
Lawrence installed *temporary bicycle and traffic demonstration projects at
the intersection of 13th and Connecticut St. and on 21st St. east of
Naismith Dr*. These temporary demonstration projects, or "pop-ups", are
short-term, low-cost demos that will allow the community to walk, wheel or
drive through them, and provide feedback before permanent traffic calming
treatments are installed. These are two of the four bicycle boulevards that
were identified in the 2016 Pedestrian Bicycle Issues Task Force Report
