[Electronic-lan] LAN Final Statement to Lawrence-Douglas County Planning Commissions

Dear Friends and Members,

As part of their annual orientation Lawrence and Douglas County Planning
Commissions have asked for feedback from LAN about neighborhood experiences
with planning. Please see attached the statement than LAN members voted to
accept after soliciting input from neighborhoods and individuals.

The public is invited to observe the orientation tomorrow, Friday October
12th from 8-4:30. Notably, at 9:15, there will be a staff presentation and
discussion of the Smart Code process which be used for the first time since
its implementation in 2009.
