[Electronic-lan] Volunteers needed this week to count bicycles/pedestrians on Lawrence Loop

Volunteers are needed this week to manually count bicycles/pedestrians and conduct intercept surveys at several locations along the Lawrence Loop<https://lawrenceks.org/loop/>. Data collected on bicycling and walking will assist the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department in their Lawrence Loop Health Impact Assessment.

The Lawrence-Douglas County Metropolitan Planning Organization, with the help of volunteers, will be conducting bicycle and pedestrian counts on:


*         Wednesday, May 3, 10 am - Noon

*         Wednesday, May 3, 5 - 7 pm

*         Thursday, May 4, 10 am - Noon

*         Thursday, May 4, 5 - 7 pm

*         Saturday, May 6, Noon - 2 pm

Volunteers will be taught the National Bicycle and Pedestrian Documentation Project method created by Alta Planning and Design and the Institute of Transportation Engineers by watching a 4 minute training video.
