All are welcome to attend the monthly public meeting of the Downtown
Grocery Committee. The meeting will be held at the Lawrence Public Library
- Local History Room, located on the lower level of the library.



The Downtown Grocery Committee has been working and meeting weekly for more
than two years to secure a grocery that will serve the address the food
desert in the northeast area of Lawrence. One in every four Lawrence
residents lives in a food desert with poor access to affordable, fresh and
healthy food.
